I have become rather ambivalent about the Refiner and what it can do for MY swing. There are some good and some albeit subjective bad points to the training club.

The Refiner does indeed help you get a feel for timing and tempo while clearly identifying major issues that no golfer should have in their swing overswinging, over the top, etc. The adjustability of the hinge is essential in allowing many different levels of golfers the ability to use the Refiner with benefit. However, my biggest downside to the Refiner is that unless you tighten the hinge drastically thus negating the benefit of the hinge in other parts of the swing , you are forced to open the club-face immediately in the takeaway.

I will say that it is not beneficial to the swing styles that have a squared face upon takeaway. Final Thoughts: I like a lot about the Refiner and I think you will too. I thought I had a very smoothly timed wing, but the Refiner had a different story. I found that my takeaway was too quick.

The rest of my swing was fine, according to the Refiner. If you swing the club with a bad swing plane the Refiner will also break down. This helps players get on plane, especially slicers. If you are coming outside in, the usual cause of a slice, the Refiner will let you know. You can actually hit shots with the Refiner Driver, as seen in the video below. Likewise, it gives you positive reinforcement when your swing is in the correct plane. Great product! I have been having problem with my driver lately, hitting a snap hook. Working with the refiner has help a ton. Slowed down my take away and not so flat of club at the top of the swing. I would recommend this aid to anyone who is struggling off the tee. After watching the video then practicing with the Refiner Driver my distance was much better and better on accuracy as well.
